REMOVING THE NAGGING PASSWORD PROMPT ON WINDOWS BOOT

If it is asking you for a "windows password" and you are actually giving it one then you are going to want to go to the control panel (start menu/settings/control panel) and then click on PASSWORDS and then on CHANGE WINDOWS PASSWORD. Now enter the password you have been using and then for the new password, leave it blank.. that way windows knows you are not asking for a password so when you restart this will not ask you anymore.

If however, it is asking you for a NETWORK password, this is usually because you are on a high-speed (cable or DSL) connection in which case you have to RIGHT CLICK on NETWORK NEIGHBOURHOOD and then select PROPERTIES . Now where it displays PRIMARY NETWORK LOGON: in the window, change it to WINDOWS LOGON or WINDOWS FAMILY LOGON, but NOT Client for Microsoft Network.. When you restart the computer this will then also not prompt you.
